Generate DNS Name
The Domain Name System (DNS) provides a service name to an IP address. To generate a service name to an IP address, perform the following steps.
To generate a DNS name to an IP address:
- Log in to Microsoft Azure using the obtained credentials:
- From the list of available Azure services, choose Virtual Machines . The Virtual Machines page appears.

Enter keywords ( Virtual Machines ) in search box on the Home page to search by name.

- Select the desired virtual machine. The Overview of the selected virtual machine appears.
- Under the DNS name property, click the Not configured link. The Configuration page will appear. 
- Under the DNS name label (optional) , enter the prefix you want to use.
- Click the Save button at the top of the page. 
- Upon successful action, DNS name appears.
